PALM SUNDAY
APRIL 13 | Discipleship Guide
Be Real Together:
Take a few minutes to catch up, tell stories, and laugh together. Trust and friendship take time to build. If you’re launching a new DG, one person should tell their story — what do we need to know about you? Next week, have another person in your DG share their story.
Read Together: Luke 19:28–44 CSB
On Palm Sunday, we remember Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. The people welcomed Him with praise, waving palm branches and shouting “Hosanna!” But their understanding of Jesus’ kingship was limited. This week, we looked at what it truly means to worship the King who saves — not just with words, but with our whole lives.
The One Question:
Ask this question at your family meal or Discipleship Group.
Where in your life is Jesus inviting you to move from convenience to commitment in how you follow and worship Him?
Grow Together:
Use these questions to go deeper with your DG or for personal study.
- Jesus is the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies. How do the fulfilled prophecies about Jesus build your trust in who He is? What’s one promise or truth about Jesus that gives you hope right now?
- Jesus is the True Liberator King. In what ways are you tempted to enthrone other “kings” in your life? What would it look like to surrender those areas to Jesus’ rule?
- Jesus is the only One worthy of our worship. Worship is more than music — it’s about where we direct our hearts. What’s one area of your life you can begin to worship Jesus more fully with this week?
Pray Together:
Take time to pray with and for each other.
Suggested Prayer Prompts:
Suggested Prayer Prompts:
- Thank Jesus for being the promised Messiah, our Liberator and true King.
- Confess the ways we’ve sought freedom and fulfillment apart from Him.
- Ask for the Holy Spirit’s help to live a life of worship — not just in song, but in action, choices, and surrender.
Next Steps:
This week, identify one way you can practically express worship to Jesus beyond Sunday — whether through generosity, service, prayer, or obedience.
Share your step with the group and check in during the week to encourage one another.
