It's simple–pick 6 Sundays over the course of the fall to step in and try serving. No doubt about it, God has wired you with gifts to build up His Church and show the world what Jesus is like. There's a place for you!
SERVE TEAMS

BRIGHT CITY KIDS TEAM
BRIGHT CITY YOUTh TEAM
- Early Childhood (Birth-3): Hold babies, play with toddlers, listen to music, read stories, and offer lots of snacks!
- Pre-K (3-5 years): Lead a Bible lesson, crafts, games, and prayer/circle time with kids. Bible lessons are scripted and teachers have access to a lesson plan a month in advance.
- Elementary (K-5th Grade): Lead a Bible lesson, prayer groups, and play games with kids. Bible lessons are scripted and teachers have access to a lesson plan a month in advance.

- Youth Leader: Invest in middle and high school students by building authentic relationships, leading weekly Wednesday night small groups, modeling a Christian life, and serving in areas that match your specific gifts.
- Middle School Sunday Leader: Engage middle schoolers through fun games, interactive activities, and faith-based conversations while discovering and developing your own unique leadership gifts.
- Youth Event Worker: Designed for parents and volunteers seeking a flexible way to stay involved, Youth Event Workers assist as they are able with special events and youth services by helping with setup, student supervision, transportation, or specialized areas like worship and media.

COMMUNION TEAM
- Communion Server: Serve the communion elements at the end of service with a heart posture of prayer. Servers should be those who have received Jesus as their Lord & Savior, ideally been water baptized, and exhibit spiritual maturity.

Hospitality & GUEST CARE TeamS
- Greeter: Welcome and acknowledge each guest as they enter the building.
- Usher: Welcome and acknowledge each guest as they enter the Auditorium, assist them in finding a seat, and take ownership of the Auditorium by making sure the space is ready for everyone to encounter Jesus.
- Welcome Desk: Welcome new families, assist them with checking in their children for the first time, hand out gifts to newcomers, answer questions people may have and direct them to next steps.
- Lobby Host: Proactively look for those new to Bright City to greet them, engage them in conversation, and help them feel seen.
- Coffee: Prepare, serve, and clean up drip coffee/tea, helping each person feel welcomed and cared for in your interactions.
- Bathrooms: Not cleaning, simply stocking! Ensure the bathrooms are ready to go with toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc. and empty trash between/after services.
- Volunteer Hospitality: Serve volunteers and staff by setting up and / or cleaning up food to keep them nourished throughout the day. No cooking involved (unless you'd like to!).
- Guest Care Volunteer: Serve as a Greeter, Usher, Lobby Host or at the Welcome Desk on Sunday and intentionally meet new guests! Then, follow up with that guest during the week (a total of 20-30 minutes mid week).

PRAYER TEAM
- Sunday Prayer Team: Available to pray over the service & for those on Sundays requesting prayer. Serves at least 1 service/month. Pre-requisite is at least 3 months of actively attending Bright City Church.
- Prayer Request Follow Up: Responds to prayer requests received from people in our church. This work is done remotely. Pre-requisited is being an active Prayer Team Sunday volunteer.

TECH TEAM
- Live Audio: Mix and manage the live sound during Sunday services so everything from worship to preaching is clear and balanced.
- Livestream Audio: Mix audio specifically for those watching online, making sure worship, preaching, and other elements sound clear and engaging.
- Media: Run service slides and on-screen media to help guide the congregation through worship and teaching.
- Lights: Create and manage lighting throughout the service to support worship, teaching, and the overall environment.
- Video Switcher: Operate the video feed during services, choosing and switching between cameras and visuals for the livestream.
- Online Publisher: Prepare and publish the Sunday sermon online each week so it’s available through our podcast and other digital platforms.

CREATIVE TEAM
- Sunday Service Photographer: Capture Sunday service once/month. Be open to capturing specific shots for projects and to get creative on your own.
- Youth Group Photographer: Capture Youth Group 1 Wednesday/month.
Facilities TEAm
- Weekly Facilities Volunteer: Come in once during the week to help prep the building for sunday mornings, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms (if interested but not mandatory) and overall tidy.
- Landscaping: Come once a week to mow the lawn and pick up any trash, help our building to look its best.
- Prepare the Place: Meets twice a month to work on different projects around the building, anything from hanging white boards, to painting and spackling holes in the wall, to building shelves. It all depends on your skillset, what are you skilled at? We can use you!

PARKING TEAM
- Parking Attendant: Be a welcoming presence in key outdoor locations by smiling and assisting attendees with navigating our simple but dynamic parking solutions. This role is rewarding for those who are looking to connect with new faces or play a key role in creating a welcoming environment.

SECURITY TEAM
- Security Volunteer: Help keep our church community safe and secure during services and events. Security Team volunteers stay alert, respond to potential concerns, and help create a welcoming environment for everyone.

WORSHIP TEAM
Sing or play an instrument and have a heart for worship? Let us know on your serve form here! We're currently seeking the following roles:
- Keys Player/Pianist: Serves on the worship team for both Sunday services when scheduled for keys/piano. Learns the assigned songs throughout the week and arrives ready to play them with the worship team on Sunday.
- Bass Guitarist: Serves on the worship team for both Sunday services when scheduled for bass guitar. Learns the assigned songs throughout the week & arrives ready to play them with the worship team on Sunday.
- Electric Guitarist: Serves on the worship team for both Sunday services when scheduled for electric guitar. Learns the assigned songs throughout the week & arrives ready to play them with the worship team on Sunday.
