YOU SAID YES TO JESUS - NOW WHAT?

A step towards Jesus is always a step worth taking, and we are celebrating with you! It's not uncommon to give your "yes" or raise a hand in the moment, and then wake up the next morning asking yourself, "What now? What comes next?" We've got some great resources for you right here! Still exploring faith in Jesus?

Who is Jesus? What is the Gospel (or Good News)? When we are choosing whether to surrender our life to Jesus, it's important to know what the Bible says about God, love, sin, Jesus' death & resurrection, and how we are saved. We've included the highlights for you below!
1. God’s Word says that He loves us.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).
2. We all have sinned and do not measure up to God’s standard for righteous living.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
3. The Bible also says there is a price for sin.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23)

This death is both spiritual and eternal. No one can be saved from this death by  good works or by being a moral person.
4. God sent His Son Jesus to atone for our sins through his death on the cross.
"He made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so  that in him we might become the righteousness of God" (2 Corinthians 5:21).

He took the punishment for all sin on himself and, being without sin, provided  the only sufficient payment.
5. Jesus not only died on the cross for our sins, but he also rose from the grave and gives us new life in him.
"For I passed on to you as most important what I also  received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was  buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures" (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

"Therefore we were buried with him by baptism into death, in order  that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too  may walk in newness of life" (Romans 6:4)
6. To be saved, all we need to do is turn to God and invite Jesus to be our Lord and Savior.
"Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one  comes to the Father except through me'" (John 14:6).

"If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in  your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

Because of Jesus’ death on our behalf, all we have to do is believe in Him,  trusting His death as the payment for our sins - and we will be saved! Salvation,  the forgiveness of sins, is available to anyone who will trust in Jesus Christ as  their Lord and Savior.
