No Other Gospel
February 8 | Discipleship Guide
Be Real Together:
Take a few minutes to catch up, tell stories, and laugh together.
If you’re launching a new Group, trust and friendship take time to build. Take turns each week having someone share a bit of their story.

Read Together: Galatians 1:1-10 CSB
Paul writes to the churches in Galatia with urgency and conviction. After receiving the Gospel of grace—salvation through faith in Jesus alone—these believers were being tempted to accept a different gospel. False teachers were telling them that Jesus was not enough, that something else had to be added in order to be fully right with God.
Paul makes it clear from the beginning: there is no other gospel. The good news is not Jesus plus effort, rules, rituals, or performance. The Gospel is that Jesus gave Himself for our sins to rescue us—and nothing can be added to what He has already accomplished. This message calls us to examine where we may have drifted from simple trust in Christ and invites us to re-anchor our lives in the true Gospel.

The One Question:
If you only have time for one question, ask this one.
What false gospels are you being tempted by? Said another way, if Paul wrote YOU a letter, what area would he be highlighting in
your life, and pointing you back towards Christ?
Grow Together:
Use these questions to go deeper with your Group or for personal reflection.
- Paul defines the Gospel as Jesus giving Himself to rescue us from sin and this present evil age. How would you explain the Gospel in your own words?
- What are some modern examples of false or distorted gospels people are tempted to believe today?
- Where have you added to Jesus? Where have you believed a "Jesus + something else" gospel?
- When is the last time you stopped and simply asked yourself, “Where am I actually at with Jesus himself?” Let's take a moment to pause and consider this, then share with the Group.
- Are you in your Bible enough to know the real Gospel from a fake one? Where do you need encouragement and accountability in this?
Pray Together:
- Thank God for the gift of salvation through Jesus alone.
- Confess any ways you’ve added to the Gospel or placed your hope in something other than Christ.
- Ask the Holy Spirit to help you discern truth from distortion.
- Pray for hearts that stay anchored in grace and faithful to the real Gospel.
Next Steps:
- Spend time this week reading Galatians 1 slowly and prayerfully, asking God to highlight truth.
- Identify one area where you’ve been tempted toward a “Jesus + something” mindset and intentionally surrender it to Him.
- Commit to regular time in Scripture as a way to strengthen discernment and deepen trust in the true Gospel.
- Encourage someone in your Group this week by reminding them that Jesus is enough.
